Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Pyritization is the process of replacing soft and hard fabrics of plants or animals with sulfides, in particular pyrite. It's a type of fossilization. Pyritization is associated with the decomposition of organic matter without access to free oxygen in relatively deep water areas of water basins. The photo shows Ammonite, whose fabrics was replaced by pyrite, found in Buttenheim, Germany, bought in Munich.
