Description: (Left) Image of Private Harlan Harrington, Company B, 123rd New York volunteers, showing his amputated leg. Harrington was wounded at Kennesaw Mountain, Georgia on June 19th, 1864. Donated by James H. Armsby, Photograph by Wood & Brother, Albany, N.Y. Caption reads: “William Godfrey Private Co. E. 169th N.Y.Vols. Wounded at Petersburg Va June 30th, 1864. Amputation performed June 30th 1864.”
