Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Putford Artemis leaving the Harbour Mouth Taken from Gorleston’s South Pier is the Putford Artemis, a Lowestoft ship leaving the harbour mouth to go to sea. The tide was a spring tide at its maximum height. Spring tides (Old English – springan: to rise) occur roughly once a fortnight throughout the year during the new and full phases of the moon, and have nothing to do with the spring season.
