Description
English: Purple Saxifrage in Ben Lawers NNR. "True to its Latin name (Saxifraga means rock-breaker) this plant occupies barren, exposed rock; damp crevices in cliffs; and moist, calcium-rich gravel in arctic and alpine environments." Ben Lawers is one of the few places in Britain where such plants grow.
