of the hill, the allochthon IV shows the original succession of volcanic rocks at the base and limestones towards the top that constitute the Cerro Águila strata. b) Erosive contact between the Puquios chaos underlying the Paleogene volcanosedimentary rocks of the Venado Formation. This erosive contact constitutes the western limit of the tectonic unit. c) Configuration of the southeastern part of the study area. The Puquios detachment put into contact the Allochthons IV (Cerro Águila strata) and II (La Ternera Formation). The Puquios chaos is underthrusted by the Triassic rocks of the La Ternera Formation through a late (probably Eocene) reverse fault. d) Contact between the andesitic rocks (down) that comprise the matrix of the Puquios chaos and the calcareous stratified rocks.
