Description
British English: A Royal Air Force (RAF) Westland SA.330 Puma HC1 XW231 'CM' (construction number 1195) helicopter of No. 33 Squadron RAF, lifts an M101 105 mm Howitzer at Westdown Camp, Tilshead, Wiltshire (UK), during NATO Exercise Ardent Ground '87 on 24 April 1987. Members of the Allied Command Europe Mobile Force from Belgium, the Netherlands, West Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, the United Kingdom, and the United States were participating in the live artillery / air exercise being staged on Salisbury Plain Training Area in Wiltshire, England.
