Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Result of a plating test of a puddled iron sample. The test was realized after a heating under the welding temperature (<1300°C) usually used to forge puddled iron. In this test, the strains are perpendicular of the fibre, which results in the collapse of the fibrous bar. Compare with Bessemer steel plating test.PNG for a test made with Bessemer steel in same conditions.
