Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Public footpath. This photograph shows a footpath linking North Wingfield (ahead) with the B6039¹ near Astwith(behind the viewpoint).

On the other side of the stile (although not obvious in this photograph) this route crosses another public footpath. To the left (southerly) the 613451 follows a farm track toward Timber Lane¹. To the right (northerly) the 613450 leads toward Williamthorpe Road in the Highfields area of Holmewood.

The buildings beyond the pylon were standing, unused, for quite a while but appear to have been converted for the stabling of horses. To the right (north) of these buildings is a mobile phone mast. This footpath crosses the field ahead and then along the right (northern) side of the field beyond before dropping into a small wooded, valley. When it emerges from the valley it follows the field boundary of the field in which the phone mast is situated.

The housing in the distance is largely in the Little Morton Road¹ - Church Lane¹ area of North Wingfield.
