Summary
[edit]DescriptionPublic artwork of the past... sadly neglected - geograph.org.uk - 158133.jpg |
English: Public artwork of the past... sadly neglected Less than 100 metres from the "Wiggin Tree" sculpture the paint peels off the once attractive frontage of the Council's Direct Labour Organisation depot on the junction of Sovereign Road and Warrington Lane. When style and function were built together into public buildings there was no need for artificial "works of art" to be installed to try to distract the eye from the banal and often scruffy street scene. |
