Description Native, perennial herb with a woody rootstock; stems are erect, hairy and to 25 cm tall. Leaves are cauline, erect, linear to broad-linear, to 3 cm long and to 3 mm wide. Flowerheads are globose or ovoid and 2–3 cm diam. Perianth segments are about 12 mm long; outer surface densely long-hairy and inner surface woolly at the base, the remainder with scattered hairs. Chiefly in the Yanco - Deniliquin district, on red earth soils.
