Notes 18th century, of wooden boards covered with dark red gilt-tooled leather. In the centre of each side is an oval gilt-stamped panel of floral design like that in Add MS 40754. There are remains of metal clasps. Eastern Mediterranean: Likely Palestine or Cyprus, given the script (Canart (1981). Two clasps catching on to the upper cover.
