Description
English: Psalmsong 1 Etched/engraved glass inside the Scottish Parliament

(Artist: Alison Kinnaird 2003) Glass, light and sound installation. Purchased by the Scottish Parliament in 2005 this work is a visual expression inspired by the artist's musical composition "Psalmsong" for the Scottish harp.

Images of human figures, have been etched by the artist onto glass panels of dichroic glass. Fibre optic lighting brings the piece to life.

Verre, son et lumiere can be touched, seen and heard. The recording of the music performed by the artist on Highland and Lowland harps, cello and glass itself.

Achieved Glass Sellers' Award in 2004 for Psalmsong.
