Summary
[edit]DescriptionProviding clean water (7047883897).jpg |
Oxfam is providing people here with clean, safe water. This "Onion Tank" is filled with water from the river, and we then add some chemicals to get out the worst of the dirt and particles. Then the water is moved into large "Bladder Tanks" where it is chlorinated as well. The tanks are elevated above the ground so that the water can be distributed by gravity to the tapstands, where people can collect it. Photo: Tracy Wise/Oxfam |
