Proved shale gas reserves of the top six U.S. shale gas states, 2007-12. At the state level, Pennsylvania and West Virginia reported the largest net increases in natural gas proved reserves in 2012 (9.8 and 4.3 trillion cubic feet, respectively), driven by continued development of the Marcellus Shale gas play.
