Summary
[edit]DescriptionProtheroe House - The Larder. Please come in.jpg |
English: Protheroe House was the name of Supported Housing run by Haringey Council on this site. The former building was closed and demolished. For years it had been run-down by the Council and suffered staff cuts.
The new building is run by the not-for-profit organisation One Housing. Brand new and looking good. The entrance is on the corner of Chesnut Road N17 and Rycroft Way. _______________________________ § View with Google Street View June 2016. Note building work was not complete. § Google street view of the mainly demolished former nightclub opposite. § Information about on One Housing on their website here. Though much of it is a rose-tinted view. § A slightly more cautious, though no less positive picture comes across in a pair of Videos on YouTube. The first is a conversation between Mick Sweeney the Chief Executive and Anthony Mayer, Board Chairman. The second has two short "messages" from them. |
