Description
English: Promontory in Portamaggie Bay This promontory protrudes into Portamaggie Bay. Its cliffs are very steep. The fog horn can be seen in the top right of the photograph. The black lump in the bay which looks like a rock is, in fact, the remains of a the "Craigantlet", a ship which ran aground during the night of 26th February 1982. This ship was supposed to be going from Belfast to Liverpool. How she ran aground NORTH of her route and directly under the lighthouse is a mystery.
