A Tender Minuet. This minuet is danced by the younglovers to a tender theme. V. Nocturne and Final Dance (Act I). Here Lelio, the younglover, from whom his beloved has been taken, gives way to melan-choly in a moonlit park. One sees Terpsichore, surrounded by sixnj^mphs, descend from a fresco of Tiepolo, comfort Lelio, dance, anddisappear in the enchanted night.
