| Description |
English: Profile of turbine blade at Whitelee Windfarm The windfarm has 140 turbines of 2.3MW each, giving a total peak output of just over 320 MW. However, the wind does not blow all the time (and sometimes it blows too strongly) so on average the output of Whitelee will be around 105MW. We would need 9 windfarms of this size to equal the average output of one nuclear power station. |
