It rises, in proportion to the degree of disintegration, tobetween 85 and 11*5 per cent. The highest percentages that have been obtainedare ii6 and 117. + The groove is transversely blocked near its outflow by the medical superin-tendents house, but care has been taken that water flowing down the groovemay find its way out past that building through a deep drain laid between it andthe edifice in which the curable male patients live.
