English: Ulrich Mescheder studied physics at the Universities of Bielefeld and Marburg (Dipl. Phys.1982 Dr. rer. nat. 1985). From 1985 to 1991 he was a research associate at the Philips Research Laboratories in Hamburg in the field of materials science with Focus on thin-film technology employed. During this time he worked at the X-ray lithography project at Bessy with in Berlin, which is the new method Submikro meter structuring. Since 1991 he is professor at the Hochschule Furtwangen(HFU).
His research focuses on microsystems technology and micro-and nanotechnology.He is the author of over 100 scientific publications and author of Textbook "Microsystems Technology; Concepts and Applications", Teubner-Verlag, 2nd Edition (2004). He manages the Central Research Institute of the University of Furtwangen (IAF), the Technology Laboratory for Micro-and Nanosystems and is also the Vice President for Research HFU. |
