Description
English: Header of a school report / report card of Private Waldschule Grunewald located in Berlin-Grunewald, 56 Hagenstrasse. The initially nondenominational private elementary school, middle school and high school had been founded by female educator Toni Lessler (1874–1952). On December 22, 1933 all 121 non-Jewish pupils had to leave the school due to Nazi regulations, 70 Jewish pupils were left. From January 1, 1934 only Jewish pupils were allowed to attend this school. Until the beginning of the next school year after Easter 1934 140 new Jewish pupils enrolled. From about 1937 the school's name had to include the additon "jewish" which here was done by a typewritten adjunct. There was no school's seal / stamp on the grade sheet from which this clipping was taken.
Deutsch: Zeugnisformularkopf der von Frau Toni Lessler gegründeten und geleiteten Privaten Waldschule Grunewald in Berlin-Grunewald, Hagenstraße 56, Ecke Teplitzer Straße. Ab etwa 1937 musste das Attribut „jüdische“ als Zusatz in die Schulbezeichnung integriert werden, auf diesem Formular maschinenschriftlich vorgenommen. Ein Schulstempel fehlt auf dem Zeugnis, aus dem dieser Ausschnitt extrahiert wurde. Seit dem 1. Januar 1934 durften nur noch jüdische Schülerinnen und Schüler aufgenommen werden. Die zuvor 121 nicht-jüdischen Schülerinnen und Schüler mussten auf Anweisung des Wilmersdorfer Schulrats Korpjuhn am 22. Dezember 1933 vor der angesetzten Schulweihnachtsfeier ihr Bildungsinstitut verlassen und sich noch am selben Tag bei einer staatlichen Bildungseinrichtung anmelden, 70 jüdische Schüler blieben. Bis zum nächsten Schuljahr nach Ostern 1934 meldeten sich 140 neue jüdische Schüler an.
