Description
Deutsch: Anlässlich des Tags des offenen Denkmals konnte man die sonst nicht offen zugängliche fürstliche Grabkapelle in Karlsruhe besichtigen. In der großen Halle finden sich drei prachtvolle Grabmäler aus weißem Carrara-Marmor mit lebensgroßen Figuren von Großherzog Friedrich I., seiner Gemahlin Prinzessin Luise von Preußen und ihrem Sohn Prinz Ludwig Wilhelm (Bild).

Professor Hermann Volz schuf diese Kunstwerke so täuschend ähnlich, dass man glaubt Lebende vor sich zu haben.

Der Prinz ist in Kleiner Uniform (Überrock) des 1. Badischen Leib-Grenadier-Regiments Nr. 109 dargestellt.
