Description
English: View of the mise-en-scene of the Teatro Olimpico at Vicenza, erected in 1579 by Andrea Palladio (1518-1580), and completed by Vincenzo Scamozzi (1552-1616). Four sightseers are shown on the stage. Within the stage design, a barrel vault opening to a street with buildings. Niches along the stage wall contain statues of figures.
