| Description |
A covered bridge over Big Bureau Creek, north of Princeton, Illinois. It was built in 1863, and is still open to traffic. This is not a typical Illinois scene. According to Wikipedia, is is one of five remaining covered bridges in Illinois. It is called the Red Covered Bridge locally. We had taken a detour on our return from Rockford to go to a shop in Princeton that sells discontinued patterns of dishes and silverware. |
