| Description |
English: Looking at the primary baptismal font in the sanctuary of Wilmington Lutheran Church in Arnegard, North Dakota. The church interior is of open-beam construction, mostly consisting of high-quality blond pine. The church has two baptismal fonts. The secondary font is an octagonal shape with a steepled top surmounted by a ball. The font stands on a slender spindle. The main font, depicted here, is cruciform in shape with a central block surmounted by a Christian cross.
The original log cabin church was constructed in 1906. The current brick church was erected in 1915. The congregation belongs to the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) as of 2013. |
