| Description |
Deutsch: Diese kleine Primärdüne ist nur wenige Zentimeter hoch. Sie liegt im östlichen seeseitigen Teil der Nordseeinsel Wangerooge. Die Pflanzen halten den Sand zusammen und erhöhen mit der Zeit die Düne durch neu angewehten Sand. Diese ersten kleinen Dünen werden aber oft von Sturmfluten wieder zerstört. Die Düne ist umgeben von einem Muschelfeld aus toten Muschelschalen. Bei einer Sturmflut wird diese Primärdüne wieder vernichtet. Die höheren Dünen rechts im Bild sind keine Primär- sondern Sekundär- oder auch Weissdünen. Sie sind fest gegen Sturmfluten. Der Turm im Hintergrund steht auf der Nachbarinsel Minsener Oog und hat eine Höhe von 54 Metern. |
