Summary

[edit]
Description
English: One of pictures taken at what is called Bishops Church. During one visit some works were going on. A notice explains this largest church in town was first built in the 5th or 6th century, using remains from earlier buildings. In a second phase it was extended, and in a third phase pillars were inserted between the columns. Around 1300 it was abandoned. In it one can find (a rarity) the remains of an ambo and some of a chancel-screen, both early Byzantine works.
