English: From Flickr album "Kringkasting og presse" ("Broadcasting and press", 2013) by Riksarkivet (National Archives of Norway): Vidkun Quisling held several important speeches in broadcasting, and on various occasions he invited the press for reports. On February 19 1942, he stood up for a gathered media for the first time. It happened at a press conference at the Grand Hotel in Oslo, the day after he had come home from his successful state visit to Berlin. During the press conference the Minister President disclosed a strongly increasing adherence to NS and also foreshadowed a possible limitation of this influx. |
