Description
English: August 14, 1970 President Nixon visited New Orleans, LA, to attend a meeting with the Cabinet Committee on Education and Chairmen and Vice Chairmen of seven State Advisory Committees on Public Education for the purpose of advancing desegregation in southern schools.

Photo shows Nixon standing on car with microphones, smiling and waving, in front of hotel in the 600 block of St. Louis Street, French Quarter. Crowds and people with cameras look on from street; others look from balcony above.
