Description
Bahasa Indonesia: Kedatangan Presiden Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) dan Ibu Negara Hj. Ani Yudhoyono ke kota Parepare, Rabu, 19 Februari disambut antusias warga Parepare. Ribuan masyarakat Parepare rela menunggu berjam-jam di pinggir jalan menantikan kedatangan SBY yang tiba di Parepare sekitar pukul 19.30 Wita.

Sepanjang rute yang dilalui Presiden SBY, yakni jalan Bau Massepe, Jalan Karaeng Burane dan Jalan Ahmad Yani dan Jalan Lasiming (depan Rumah Jabatan Wali Kota Parepare), menjadi lautan manusia.

SBY yang rencana tiba di Parepare pukul 18.30 Wita, terpaksa mulur sekitar satu jam karena banyaknya masyarakat yang antusiasi berdiri dipinggir jalan. Kendaraan Presiden SBY, Indonesia 1, hanya bisa melaju dalam kecepatan 20 kilo meter per jam.

Sepanjang jalan menuju rumah jabatan Wali Kota Parepare, tempat SBY bermalam, warga mengelu-elukannya bak seorang pahlawan. Mereka menyambut SBY dengan setengah histeris. SBY pun mengulurkan tangan untuk menjabat tangan sebagian warga.
