Description A 1973 ECW bodied Bristol VRT/SL2 (reg. PKE 809M), pictured at the M&D 100 rally on the Kent County Showground in Detling. New to Maidstone & District as their No. 5809, it passed to Berry of Taunton in 1989, then Cedric of Wivenhoe in 1992, and finally Fords of Althorne in 1994. Bought for preservation in 2001, it's seen here still wearing Ford's livery. This appears to have been a one off outing, with the bus otherwise just stored in a yard, presumably waiting its turn in a queue for restoration.
