Description
English: Preserved First Glasgow bus 31213 (reg. A735 PSU), a 1973 Volvo Ailsa B55 double-decker with Alexander RV bodywork, pictured at the 2009 Glasgow Vintage Vehicle Trust open day.

It was new to Strathclyde PTE as their fleet no. A109. Strathcylde took 152 Ailsa's in various batches between 1981 and 1984. It remained in Glasgow through the deregulation and privatisation period, passing into the fleet of Strathcylde Buses, which eventually became First Glasgow. It was one of the few that lasted in service long enough to receive both the First Glasgow allover red livery and the later corporate national First livery, having been assigned the national fleetnumber 31213 in 2003.

Latterly working on school contracts, it was withdrawn in June 2006, passing into preservation with the GVVT. It's pictured here reduced to the base of its First livery with adverts, First logos & fleetnumbers etc having been removed, on its way to being restored to original Strathcylde condition.
