The image is angled so the hole of the chimney is visible, as well as the top of the roof. Brick outlines the opening of the chimney and is surrounded my copper sheets flared upwards towards the sky. A black and white sign sits on the brick that reads "Gettysburg NMP Warfield House Laying Brick Chimney North Wall PEPC 85531 9-11-20 Smith."

Preservationists set bricks for the chimney at the peak of the gable wall. Copper flashing has been installed to create a waterproof transition from the cedar shingle roof to the brick chimney.
