Calvinism asserts the doctrine of original sin,which is to say that the fall of Adam is the source fromwhich comes the sinfulness of all his posterity, and thatin this corruption all his posterity, adults and infants,are involved, and if saved must be regenerated by theHoly Ghost as redeemed by Christ. Calvinism holdsthe doctrine of total depravity; that is to say, thatthis corruption with reference to God and asviewed by him extends to every part.
