Tirumala Bharani K. Settypalli, Molecular Biologist, Senior Laboratory Technician, Animal Production and Health Laboratory, Joint FAO/IAEA Division of Nuclear Techniques in Food and Agriculture prepares the RT-PCR Reaction.

Real time RT-PCR is the most accurate method to detect the COVID-19 virus. The FAO/IAEA Animal Protection and Health Laboratory has been helping countries use this technique to detect zoonotic (human to animal) diseases like COVID-19 and Ebola for decades. IAEA Seibersdorf, Austria. 7 May 2020
