Description
Čeština: V Přelouči v parku nacházejícím se mezi Kulturním a informačním centrem města Přelouče (a také letním kinem; adresa: Pardubická 687, 53501 Přelouč) a Sokolovnou (adresa: Pardubická 734, 535 01 Přelouč) je umístěn pomník věnovaný 51 obětem fašismu a rasizmu z let 1938 až 1945 (tedy obětem převážně z období druhé světové války). Základní žulový kámen pomníku pochází z bývalého lomu Hluboká situovaného v blízkosti zaniklé osady Ležáky, která byla 24. června 1942 vypálena nacisty. Tento základní kámen byl slavnostně uložen 9. května 1947 a později znovu uložen 7. května 2004. Vlastní pomník je tvořen trojicí pískovcových kvádrů.[12] Ten prostřední nese nápis: „1938 - 1945 / OBČANŮM NAŠEHO MĚSTA / OBĚTEM FAŠISMU A RASISMU // ČEST / JEJICH PAMÁTCE“. Po stranách (vlevo a vpravo) od centrálního kvádru jsou umístěny na koso postavené kvádry se jmény obětí.
English: In Přelouč, in the park located between the Cultural and Information Centre of Přelouč (and also the summer cinema; address: 687 Pardubická Street, 53501 Přelouč) and the Sokol Hall (address: 734 Pardubická Street, 535 01 Přelouč), there is a monument dedicated to 51 victims of fascism and racism from 1938 to 1945 (i.e. victims mainly from the Second World War). The granite foundation stone of the monument comes from the former quarry Hluboká situated near the extinct settlement of Ležáky, which was burnt down by the Nazis on 24 June 1942. This foundation stone was ceremoniously laid on 9 May 1947 and later re-laid on 7 May 2004. The middle one bears the inscription "1938 - 1945 / TO THE CITIZENS OF OUR TOWN / TO THE VICTIMS OF FASCISM AND RACISM // HONOUR / TO THEIR MEMORY". On the sides (left and right) of the central block are scythe-shaped blocks with the names of the victims.
