| Description | The precasting operations are shown here for Super-Slab® PCPS slab fabrication during the FHWA, Highways for LIFE project with Virginia DOT to demonstrate the use of precast concrete pavement system (PCPS) technology to replace concrete slabs on a section of ramp lane leading to US-50 West during nighttime full closures. Super-Slab® were precast with a thickness of 8.75 inches thick and most panels were 15 feet in length and 12 feet in with a few shorter panels at curves. |
