Summary

[edit]
Description The Ziggurat building on the left once bore the advertising of the Bata shoe company, whose architects designed it and which had a shoe store on the ground floor. After 1948 it was a JAS shoe store. The larger building belonged to an insurance firm, and was well hung with propaganda during the Nazi times. In the 1930s it carried the large sign LINOLEUMHAUS.
