Inscriptions says;
Prayer to St. Brigid. Lord you inspired in St. Brigid such wholehearted dedication your work that she is know as the Mary of the Gael Through her intercession bless our country may we follow her example of her life and united with her and the Virgin Mary in your presence through Christ our Lord AMEN
Note the 'St. Brigid's Cross' sign at the top of the monument.
