Description
English: Chap. (Maj.) Ken Godfrey, 3rd Combat Aviation Brigade, speaks during the prayer luncheon Nov. 8, at the Camp Striker dining facility in Baghdad. "It was an opportunity to recognize veterans and to honor all those who had represented the country both past and present," said Chap. (Lt.) Brian Minietta, 3rd Squadron, 17th Cavalry Regiment. "Also it was an opportunity for us to come together to pray specifically for Soldiers, our leaders and family members." The 3rd Infantry Division 90th birthday was also remembered and the history of the division was reviewed. At the end of the luncheon, bandanas with Psalm 91 printed on then, were given to the attendees. "The prayer luncheon served as a wonderful reminder that God is always with us and His promise to protect is sure," said Minietta.
