English: Ancient and historical Prakasheshwar Mahadev Temple located in Satti Bazaar, Ward No. 7, Tikapur Municipality, Kailali District. In the sanctum sanctorum of this south-facing dome-style temple, it is called the Shivalinga, the rarest and easterly mouth of Nepal. The Shivalinga is 18 inches long, the circumference of Shivalinga is 51 inches, the circumference of Pithika is 165 inches and the height of Pithika is 32 inches. The temple is said to have been built by King Narindra or the youngest queen Padmakumari around 1961 in memory of her husband. According to Guru Ananda Baba, who came to observe this temple in 2016, according to Guru Krishnamani Upreti, who came from Gujarat, India to observe the Khichda temple in Nautanpuri Jam Nagar. Gauri Prakasheshwar had said that the Shivalinga had an inscription written in yellow wire and also a pair of silver khadau used by Prashuram. Legend has it that in this temple, which is the first door for the Shrishimunis who come to visit Kailash from the Nayasharanaya of Bhara, they used to go for Mount Kailash, i.e. Mansarovar Darshan only after visiting and worshiping the abode. It is also worth mentioning that the Pandavas also came and settled here and went to Panchavati after worshiping in this temple when Ram Chandra went to Banavas in Tretayug. As there is a temple of Shri Shakti Bhavani, Jangali Devi and an idol of Santaneshwar Mahadev in this temple premises, there is a belief that worshiping this Prakasheshwar Mahadev will get the desire of the children. The name of this temple has been changed to Prakasheshwar Mahadev Temple due to the light falling on this Shivalinga when the sun rises. The temple was renovated in 1965 by Padmakumari Singh, the youngest Maharani of King Narendra Bikram Singh of Malwara region. In 1967, the first temple festival was held in the area and 700 bigahas of land was kept as a guthi for the protection of this temple. The bell in this temple was so big that after worshiping and ringing the bell in this temple, the king at Bardiya's Thakuravdara temple would ring the bell and from the sound of the same bell, the king living in Chisapani Rajkanda Durbar of Kailali would get food after receiving information that he had been worshiped. From that time onwards, Salwara Shakta Gauri was established Padmaprkaasheshwar Mahadev temple was kept. Even though there is 700 bigahas of land in the name of this temple, the annual report of Guthi Sanstha 2056 page no. 151 805, page no. According to Shri Narendra Prakasheshwar Shivaji Jangali Devi Page No. 81, established in Salwara Sakta Gauri, there are 371 bigahas of land in 64 Kailali districts but at present the temple premises are only 2 Kathha and 10 dhur. Bhog is currently burning as 6 katha of land outside the temple area has been donated. The temple has been placed in the category of archeological heritage by registering with various associations, institutions, archeology department, Guthi Sansthan, Social Welfare Council on the initiative of the conservation committee of the temple in case the land has not been found, bells and bells have been stolen. Pithadhishwar Jagatguru Shankaracharya, Madhav Vashramji, Maharashtra International Vyas Acharya, Kishore Gautam Ji, Swami Dindayal Maharaj, Valvyas Narayan Neupane Jews from Uttarakhand, India participated in the celebration of the centenary of the temple. Jagatguru Valsanta Mohan Sharan Maharaj of Nepal has been giving continuity by starting the first bolbum religious program on the 1st of Shravan 2069 BS. In Shravan 2069 BS, a special Shiva was worshiped in this temple by Nishashananda Maharajjya, including Shrishimuni of Uttarkashi, India. A special Rudri Puja of the month of Shravan was organized on 9th Shravan 2070 BS under the hospitality of former King Gyanendra Shah. In this temple, 108 historical virgins (kanya) are being worshiped every year on the day of Krishna Janmashtami. Hindus have been offering special worship on Shivaratri, Vijaya Dashami, Chaite Dashai and Akshay Tritiya.
