TENTH DISSECTION. ANTERIOR OF LEG AND DORSUM OF FOOT. Dissection.—For this dissection the two limbs should be supported at theankles on blocks; tie the great toes together, so as to expose the outer antero-lateral area of the leg and foot. Terms of Relation.—The terms applicable to both regionsare : the general, inferior ; the special, proximal and distal(toward and from the trunk). Those for theleg are: anterior, posterior, outer, and innersurfaces; outer antero-lateral and inner antero-lateral areas (including both anterior and outeror inner surfaces, respectively). Those to thefoot are: dorsum on dorsal surface; plantarsurf ace ; inner or pollex border or side; outeror minim border or side. Those to the toes are :dorsal, plantar, and lateral digital surfaces.The regions of the foot will be spoken of as tar-sal, metatarsal, and digital.
