English: Ethnic map of Pozsony County according to the data of the 1881 census. Key: red - Hungarians; light green - Slovaks; pink - Germans; light blue - Croatians. Coloured dots in a plain rectangle imply the presence of smaller minority populations (generally more than 100 people or 10%). Multicoloured rectangles imply cities and villages with multi-ethnic populations with the order of the stripes following the ethnic composition of the settlement. [Disclaimer: border changes on the later base map have been manually redrawn and place names changed to their original versions.] The census data of Alsó- and Felső-Csölle is probably misleading because the villages later had a German majority.
Magyar: Pozsony vármegye etnikai térképe az 1881-es népszámlálás szerint. Jelmagyarázat: piros - magyarok; halványzöld - szlovákok; rózsaszín - németek; halványkék - horvátok. Az egyszínű négyzetekben megjelenő eltérő színű pontok kisebb csoportokat jeleznek (általában 100-nál több embert vagy 10 %-ot). Sávosan színezett négyzetek mutatják a multietnikus városokat és falvakat, a sávok sorrendje a populációk nagyságát követi. [Megjegyzés: a későbbi alaptérképen számos településnév újra lett írva, hogy megfeleljen az 1881-es változatnak; a közigazgatási határ időközbeni módosítása újra lett rajzolva.] Alsó- és Felső-Csölle esetében a népszámlálási adat lehetséges, hogy téves, mivel mindkét község később német többségű volt. |
