Summary
[edit]DescriptionPower to the people. - geograph.org.uk - 396954.jpg |
English: Power to the people.. These power lines carry the current from the nuclear power station at Hinckley Point into the Bath/Swindon area, crossing this bit of the rural Somerset/Wiltshire on their way.
Much reviled now as ugly they were, when they first appeared across the British landscape in the 1930s, regarded as symbols of modernity and as "industrial art". With the sun setting behind them on a July evening I wonder what you think? |
