Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Old utility pole in Quetzaltenango. One of these has a sign "Allgemeine Elektrizitäts-Gesellschaft", so its obviously a german product. The design is german too, typical for german medium voltage pylons of the 1930s. Some of these poles still can be found there, but the power line ends south of the graveyard. Maybe once they continued until the Santa Maria Zunil dam, which was built around 1930 together with the Los Altos railway.
