The building of a poultry plant of largeproportions was by no means the only ob-ject the management of this company hadin view when they decided on their loca-tion at Newtown, Pa. To them, scientific,artificial incubation on a large scale hadbecome a question of tremendous impor-tance. To develop their poultry industryalong as extensive lines as they hadplanned, necessitated more economic, andlarger facilities for artificial incubationthan they enjoyed, and in order to con-summate their plans they secured the ser-vices of the most competent engineers inthe country to assist them in solving theproblems of moisture, ventilation and theregulation of heat in the egg chambers.Numerous tests were made under bothfavorable and unfavorable conditions; ex-periments in high as well as low altitudes.No principle was neglected, no
