| Description |
Català: Pou de les Figueretes de Xaló. El pou es troba ubicat en els límits nord-orientals del nucli urbà, en el carrer que rep el topònim del Pou de les Figueretes. Aquest de planta circular abasta unes mesures considerables d'uns 4,70 m de diàmetre i una profunditat de 13 m.
A grans trets la fàbrica de paredal de maçoneria de blocs calcaris distribuïts de manera aleatòria alineada formant filades horitzantals i travats en sec, en els paraments interns. La banda superior compta amb un brocal de forma circular, realitzat mitjançant la tècnica de la maçoneria on les lloses calcàries estan travades amb morter de calç i grava de riu, i ben encarades de forma rectangular. La boca del pou quedava coberta mitjançant un sistema de protecció d'enreixat metàl·lic i de fusta que cobria gran part l'obertura de l'estructura, amb l'objectiu de garantir la seguretat en les diferents activitats que es dien a terme. Malgrat que l'origen d'aquest element és anterior, les primeres al·lusions documentals que trobem daten de la primera meitat del segle XVII, encara que l'aspecte del pou tal i com el coneixem avui en dia, estaria situat en la primera meitat del segle XIX, moment en què es duen a terme obres de restauració del pou. |
