Description
English: A nineteenth-century postcard produced by the Johnston and Hoffman Company, based on portrait of a 19 year old Tibetan woman called Lhamo, taken in the Johnston and Hoffman photographic studio in Darjeeling, India, sometime before 1884. Lhamo was born at Tashilhunpo in Tibet but had moved to Darjeeling. She didn't wear clothing of her native region(Tsang) but instead was in Lhasa style. Her husband, Tashi Wangdu, is the son of a Tibetan father and Nepalese mother.
