Lutherans are confirmed at age fourteen, which will date the letter more accurately once the birth year for Marie Klungeland is determined. There is no postmark so the postcard must have been hand delivered or included in a larger package. The 1900 Norway census for Klungeland farm lists Marie H. Bærentsdatter (1897-?), who was born in Herad. This dates the postcard to 1911.
