Title
Post medieval sub-rectangular buckle with off-set pin bar
Description
English: Post medieval buckle; cast copper ally double loop, sub-rectangular buckle of probable late 16th or early 17th century date. This is an unusual buckle with a flat, sub-rectangular frame moulded with three lobes at the outer edge of each loop. The pin bar is integral but is recessed below the flat plane of the frame. The pin is of rounded cross-section and is still present. The whole has an even, tactile, dark grey-green patina over its surface.

Length 39.7mm, width 34.6mm, thickness 6.4mm, weight: 9.51g

Ref: This is similar to buckle 25 in part 8 of Marshall, pages 15 & 16, although that is not an exact parallel.
